These shoes are constructed using only the authentic medieval stitching and techniques to produce a highly accurate recreation of the quintessential medieval shoe. The universality of medieval footwear also makes them quite similar to examples found in England and elsewhere in Western Europe. Our medieval turn shoes are inspired by 14th-15th century shoes found in Schleswig, Germany, but are broadly similar to examples dating from the 8th century onward. ![]() We listened and we are proud to present you with the most authentic, highest quality medieval shoe available. Many of our customers who have asked us to add a "correct" medieval turnshoe to our line for use in higher-level reenactments and on stage.
